Synesthetic Music Box
Synesthesia or synaesthesia is a perceptual phenomenon in which stimulation of one sensory or cognitive pathway leads to involuntary experiences in a second sensory or cognitive pathway.
This product uses the concept of synesthesia. It translates two different senses of the human body; hearing and seeing. The music box packaging visually translates into a music collection box for synesthetes who have a relationship between their hearing and seeing senses. The music sleeve and or vinyl designs replicate the designs that would be seen by these people if they hear those songs. The visuals are dense and very expressive in order to make the audience visualize the songs in their minds.
